Shenn's Hen Party

Shenn’s Hen Party at Oohtique! on Wed nite was simply fantabulous. The six maidens + bride-to-be first gathered at BK at Chulia St for dinner. I know, what an unglamorous and uninteresting place to be eating at but a majority of us were broke.

Close to 8pm, we walked across to Oohtique at Boat Quay. The place was cosy and we immediately warmed up to Aussie host, Alex (a beautiful leggy lady). We were served with alcohol drinks, Lambrini, while Lina and I got the AppleAde (a non-alcoholic drink).

The night started with sharing of sex tips by Alex and we shared our experiences, wherever possible cos’ some of us are married! This was followed by a game of Truth & Dare (altho’ we just played the Truth version) and Adult Pictionary which was so hilarious! For Adult Pictionary, we each had three cards and we had to use of the cards every time to continue a story by the person beside us.

Later Alex showed all the sensual items that Oohtique offers such as “toys”, massage oils, adult board games, etc.

The night ended with what all women love, SHOPPING! Oohtique also sells bags, jewellery, and intimate wear. We each had a $30 voucher to spend at Oohtique so I bought myself a delicious, sensuous nightie….

As it was a working day the next day, we all headed home, close to midnight. Needless to say we had such a great time. Thanks, Shenn, Lina, Jasmine, Emily, Shirley and Eileen for the wonderful time!

Panic

Shen's Hen Party is tomorrow night at Oohtique! And I havent even bought the veil and crown that we are supposed to let her wear.

Plus I have to run a few errands today, like pack all the Hari Raya cookies into a box to ship to my Sis in Brisbane; remit money to Indonesia for my maid; buy more baking ingredients to make more Hari Raya cookies cos' the ones that I have made throughout the whole of last week arent enough to be distributed to my family and friends; and other stuff that I cant remember right now.

Boo hoo...

Anyway I better get my fat ass moving and get ready or I wont get anything done today.

Oh, I just want to offer my congratulations to Haz, Pearlyn and Jeff for your convocation last Sun!! Best wishes for your future endeavours....

No Regrets

I dedicate this beautiful poem to everyone who’s ever second-guessed a relationship decision they’ve made. Remember, our past makes us who we are… Have no regrets!

No Regrets

I'll always recall what we had, and lost,

but I'll never regret it, or the cost;
for truly we knew for a little time
what some seek a lifetime, and never find.

To have known it at all is given to few;
we had it all a while - just me and you.
It's something to cherish and look back upon
when the world seems too much, and I'm all alone.

I only wish it had lasted until
the stars and the sky and my heart lay still.

Will a Leopard Change its Spots?

I was on msn today and I saw that a female friend had a photo of her and a guy (very cozily together) as a display picture and I wonder what it meant. Does it mean that she likes the guy and hence wants to declare it to the world and to the oblivious guy?

Why I am so concerned about this, you might ask? Well, the problem is the guy is a good friend of mine. And he’s really great and I care greatly for him.

Anyway, the two of them had a relationship during schooling days but the girl didn’t really treasure him and he was like a puppy so wrapped around her little finger when they were together. He would do anything for her, including ironing her clothes for her first job interview. He was really wonderful but she wanted a more mature man, one that can give her security (I mean financially as well) and he wasn’t the one…

So, when they broke it off, he took it quite badly and I saw my friend, unhappy. It’s been years but they are still in contact. Recently, they hanged out together as they have mutual friends and I am wondering e.whether a leopard can change its spots. After having bouts of unsuccessful relationships with mature men, is she going to try her luck with my friend? And will my friend once again fall for charms? I mean she’s quite pretty, intelligent and of course there’s the history that they shared together so what will he do? Of course I’m speculating here, cos’ I don’t know for sure whether she has made a move or maybe it’s my friend who has made a move.

Well, who knows for sure cos’ I haven’t spoken to my friend about this yet. In any case, I hope he knows what he is doing and I wish him well…

A Myriad of Thoughts

It’s one of those nights that I can’t get to sleep… So I thought, “Hey I should blog”. So here are some of my thoughts today…

Fashion for Men in the 80s…. the Red Crotch Cover!

I was watching MTV and they were showing VH1’s Hits from the 80s. One of the video clips was of the group, Cameo. Song title: Word Up. The lead singer an Afro-American was decked in black leather pants and get ready for this…….. a RED CROTCH COVER! He sure knew how to guard his asset! Gah…. I nearly fainted! Now I know where Superman got his fashion sense from!! It was hilarious and I was laughing hysterically in my living room alone (cos Hubby’s at work). Anyway, if you are interested you can catch it on youtube at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_7Kp_TapA4

Great Song from the Past

I was lying in bed listen to Class 95 and this great song that I loved so much was on air. And the sickening thing is I don’t know what the title is!! The lyric goes like this:

I never needed love
But I need you
I never needed nobody
But I live for you
Ooh, Babe
Lost in love
Is what I feel
When I'm with you

OOH… I managed to find the title of the song on Google! It’s “When I’m With You” by Sherrif! Yay… Now I know… Ok that’s one mystery in my life solved.

Best Friend Getting Married

My dearest friend of 14 years, Shenny is getting married on 31 Oct! Congrats, babe… I wish you all the happiness as you begin this journey with Eric. I love you and I thank you for all the times that you have been there for me. And I’ll never forget all the good (and bad) times that we shared. xoxo

Fun Times with Edina and Zainal

Edina is my junior in Cedar Girls’ Sec Sch. I met her this year, at, all places, the Singapore Idol selections. For those of you that didn’t know, my Hubby’s livelong ambition is to be a renowned singer!! So as Hubby and I were queuing up at Escape (Orchard Cineleisure), I saw a familiar figure. It was none other than Edina! The bubbly gal finally returned to Singapore from Europe after staying there for eons (she was studying there). I was so glad to see her. After all, she was one of the juniors that I had taken “under my wing” when I was in school. We even shared a white translucent pager, which was the rage back then (altho’ it got confiscated!)

Anyway, since then we have been hanging out with her and her lovely bf, Zainal. Karaoke, night spots, home cooked dinners (at my place), coffee shops, we had done them all… Here are some Polaroid pics we took when they were at our place, recently.

I just want to wish Edina and Zainal all the best in their relationship as they approach their first year anniversary. You two are great together……. xoxo Hey we have to break fast at the Indo restaurant at Far East soon, ok? Pecel Lele, here I come..... Yum...
