Click

Recently, I watched the movie, Click, with Hubby.

It is about a man (Adam Sandler) who obtains a "universal" remote controller that allows him to manage not only the TV but his entire life. He can fast-forward and rewind his reality, skipping unpleasant things like work and arguments with his spouse while re-living pleasant times, like his first date, etc. But the remote is dangerous, and he starts using it as a substitute for living through bad times. Worse still, it's an intelligent remote and, after it learns his patterns, it fast forwards through large chunks of his life.

With Adam Sandler in it, we were expecting corny jokes and heaps of laughter. But surprisingly, it did not have that effect on us, or rather ME. Although I admit that there were some parts that were incredibly funny, I was actually tearing for the second half of the movie. Why? Cos’ the movie tells how we, as adults, often lose sight of what matters...

Click is really a great movie to watch – I’ll give it four out of five stars. There's just the right amount of laughs with a touch of heartwarming drama - this could just be the best fantasy comedy since Back to the Future!
